Highways for Hope: A Mission of Hilfiker Missions

Hope and faith are universal, especially when battling chronic conditions. Hilfiker Missions delivers encouraging messages to supplement the ministry of churches and support hospitals with educational outreach.

The organization’s RV traverses the highways of the entire eastern U.S., bringing a message of hope, awareness, and healing to churches, medical schools, and hospitals.

Through inspiring presentations, uplifting films, books, and compelling testimonies, Hilfiker Missions bridges the worlds of medicine and ministry as it equips audiences in several essential ways:

  • comforting and encouraging families dealing with medical crises;

  • recognizing under-diagnosed diseases;

  • understanding the importance of organ donation;

  • appreciating the role of faith in times of healing…and loss.

Our founder, Steve Hilfiker, survived a 5-year battle with cardiac sarcoidosis. His life was saved by a heart transplant, after which he dedicated his life to the creation of several non-profit organizations.  These include the Foundation for Organ Donation and Sarcoidosis Awareness (FODASA), Stop Cardiomyopathy, and, of course Hilfiker Missions.

Today, these foundations have grown much bigger than one man’s desire to give back.
